We are sorry to inform you that due to unforeseen circumstances, the "Science Book Forum: What the Moon is Really Made Of?" event scheduled for 18 September 2020 has been canceled. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Ahmed Saad, the Information Services Librarian from the Children's and Young Adults' Library, will interview NASA scientist Dr. Essam Heggy to talk about his teams’ latest discovery about the moon's formation. While searching for ice on the Moon, the team found new evidence that the Moon’s subsurface might be richer in metals such as iron and titanium than researchers previously thought. That finding, published 1 July in Earth and Planetary Science Letters, could aid in drawing a clearer connection between Earth and the Moon.
