Children are born ready to learn and acquire language. By establishing a early relationship with books, a child can get a head start on a rewarding path for lifelong learning.
In celebration of the UNESCO International Literacy Day, the Library is offering a lecture for parents about early childhood development and children’s natural attraction towards printed material. You will learn how to evaluate books, understand the different types of books and appropriately support your children in selecting books.
Our librarians will also provide simple but effective ideas on how to build a home library and encourage reading throughout your family’s daily life.
