As part of the Qatar-Indonesia 2023 Year of Culture, we will be holding a panel discussion that showcases women working in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
The panel will feature inspiring Qatari and Indonesian women who will share their journeys of becoming professionals in their respective fields. They will also provide valuable advice to young adults aspiring to pursue careers in STEM
Speakers
• Dr. Dhabia M. Al-Mohannadi is an assistant professor of engineering and gained her Ph.D in chemical engineering from Texas A&M University in the US in 2018. Her work focuses on the design of sustainable industrial parks under carbon dioxide limits, resource management, and the evaluation of climate policies.
• Nurul Qhomariyah, M.Si has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in mathematics and has been an online mathematics lecturer at Nusa Mandiri University.
• Nurlany Yassin, MBA, has a background in engineering and is currently working as an LNG short term commercial specialist at Qatargas/QatarEnergy LNG
This event will be moderated by Dr. Anto Mohsin, who is an assistant professor in residence in the Liberal Arts Program at Northwestern University in Qatar and an affiliated faculty member of the Science in Human Culture Program at Northwestern’s Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences. He is an interdisciplinary scholar of infrastructure, energy, and the environment, specializing in Indonesia in the 20th century with a broader interest in Southeast Asia.
This event will be in English with Arabic interpretation.
