This presentation will focus on traditional bookbinding techniques in Indonesia and will be a case study of a collection of Javanese and Javanese Arabic manuscripts in Yogyakarta.

This webinar will be delivered by Ms. Tarlen Handayani, RUAS Indonesia program manager, bookbinder and writer. As a community organizer in 2008, Tarlen received a scholarship from the Asian Cultural Council (ACC) to observe community audience development at a museum in New York City. She has been a bookbinder since 2008 and increased her knowledge at the Canadian Bookbinder and Book Artist Guild (CBBAG).
