Join us for a two-day workshop of paper fun and learn how to create beautiful notebooks by hand with conservation technician Chanaka Perera! You’ll learn to use easy, softcover techniques to create unique, handmade books. Everyone will leave with two completed notebooks, made by their own hands. These handcrafted notebooks can be used as sketchbooks, diaries, travel journals or as a special place to gather your thoughts.

Day 1: Introductory presentation about basic conservation and materials used, such as Japanese paper and tissues, followed by basic bookbinding training.

Day 2: Learn advanced Japanese stab bookbinding and make two of your own notebooks!
