Some underestimate the problems that can come with writing checks without sufficient balance, thinking that it is the easiest way to get out of financial distress. However, do so and you will find yourself in legal trouble.

As part of the Library's Legal Awareness Lecture series, we will discuss the crime of issuing a check without the proper credit, including the victims of this crime and the legal consequences.
