Has UNESCO’s Global Media and Information Literacy Week made you wonder how you can join the fight against misinformation, conspiracy theories, fake news, and confirmation bias? Join and celebrate with us for a panel discussion with international literacy changemakers.

Panelists:

  • Patricia Hunt, News Literacy Project’s recipient of the Educator of the Year award
  • Glenn Harper, Librarian who created a fake news program inspired by inoculation theory
  • John Silva, Senior Director of Education and Training at News Literacy Project | Conspiracy Theories 
  • Dr Ilya Yablokov |Lecturer in Journalism and Digital Media at the University of Sheffield |England 

Moderator: Latifa Al Amri, Information Services Librarian and media literacy specialist will moderate the panel  

The webinar will be held via Zoom in English with simultaneous interpretation in Arabic.
