Learn the basics of turntablism, a DJ-ing practice that dominated the hip-hop scene in the 1970s and 1980s and continues to play a major role in music culture today.
An international French DJ known for his original beats and musical composition style will teach you the principles of beat-making, scratching, sampling and producing music from your iPods, vinyl records, and other media. Use DJ equipment and integrate your music into a composition by focusing on techniques, cultural integration and teamwork.
Participants registering for the workshops may attend only one session. Please register for one session only, either in the morning or the evening. There will be a performance day for you to show off your creation to everyone.
