The phenomenon of illegal trafficking in cultural heritage has grown in the Arab region and the Middle East in the last decade, linked to unrest, conflicts, and natural disasters and turning some countries into centers for smuggling and transit. This phenomenon, therefore, needs more awareness and global attention.
After the success of the regional workshop organized by QNL and the partners in the Himaya project in September 2022, this year's edition hosts a wide variety of international multidisciplinary experts who will discuss the current situation and its challenges and develop proposals and action plans to mitigate and combat this phenomenon.
