DESCRIPTION:This display provides a snapshot of Arab-Armenian historical\, political\, cultural and economic relations over centuries.\nIt presents reproductions of pages from Qur’anic manuscripts\, as well as other Islamic manuscripts\, in addition to replicas of coins from different periods in the history of the Islamic Caliphate.\nArabs and Armenians have been closely interacting since ancient times. As the river heads of the Euphrates and Tigris were in the Armenian highlands\, Armenians traded with the Near East for centuries.\nIn the 7th century CE\, among other countries\, Armenia was under the subordination of the Islamic Caliphate. The copies of the preserved\, ancient Arabic manuscripts and coins are rare; they represent exclusive treasure of the utmost cultural and historical value for not only Armenian historians but also for Arab countries and a heritage for the whole world.\nDate: 14 to 21 June 2022\nTime: During the Library’s opening hours\nLanguage: Arabic and English \nTarget Audience: Public \nIf you are 18 years old or above\, you must show a green Ehteraz with a gold frame to attend an event at the library.
