DESCRIPTION:Qatar National Library and The Social Development Center – NAMA are pleased to invite you to the launch of Qarari “My Decision” campaign\, which aims to make local youth aware of the importance of choosing disciplines that match their ambitions and capacities. By selecting academic and professional paths that best suit them\, they will be more likely to have stable\, fulfilling careers that also benefit Qatar\, in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030.\nThe “My Decision” campaign will emphasize the importance for the young adults to select academic disciplines that fit their personal preferences. It will also educate them on the needs of Qatar’s job market\, and in particular the existing specialized gaps that need to be filled to create a true knowledge economy.\nThe campaign introduces the “My Decision” mobile app as well. Students can use the app to seek answers to many challenges they face as they choose their academic and professional tracks. The app features personality tests to match students to an area of study\, a search engine for local universities and their programs\, direct applications to academic and professional courses\, and opportunities for business experience in the local job market.\nDate: 1 October 2018\nTime: 9:30 - 11:00 AM\nLanguage: Arabic and English\nTarget Audience: General public\nThis is an open event; RSVP is not required.
