DESCRIPTION:The illumination workshop aims to teach participants the art of calligraphy and decorative manuscript illumination and provide them with opportunities to develop their skills and inspire them to further creativity and artistic expression.This workshop is part of the "Art of the Book Series".\nFatma Ulusoy Sirajuddin is a master Islamic manuscript illumination (tezhip) artist.  She graduated from European Islamic University’s Faculty of Islamic Science in 2012 and Anadolu University’s Open Education Faculty of Theology in 2016. \nFatma teaches the art of Islamic manuscript illumination to students from around the world. Her style is distinguished by its subtle yet sophisticated approach to adorning Qur’anic manuscripts in a manner that beautifies the text without detracting from it.
