DESCRIPTION:Qatar National Library offers you a rare opportunity to learn from Ajay Sharma\, a Jaipuri master in Indo-Islamic miniature painting\, about the preparation of natural stone pigments and the basics of the painting process. The event will begin with a discussion about miniatures with Islamic art specialist Dr. Jochen Sokoly\, followed by a live demonstration from the artist.The event is being held in collaboration with VCUarts Qatar and is part of the programming for the exhibition "From Material to Market: The Art of the Book in Morocco"\, running at QNL from 26 November 2024 to 26 April 2025. \nAbout the artistAjay Sharma is a traditional Indian miniature painter. He has more than 25 years' experience as a master in miniature arts and runs his own studio in Jaipur.
