Qatar National Library, as the IFLA MENA Regional Office, invites you to the "Librarians for Libraries" program, which aims to develop librarianship skills in the MENA region through virtual sessions covering a variety of topics.

This workshop focuses on the vital role of digital repositories in supporting research and preserving scholarly output within academic libraries. It provides a hands-on introduction to using DSpace for building and managing digital repositories, highlighting its key features, benefits, and practical applications. Participants will also gain insights into best practices for implementation, challenges faced by academic libraries in the region, and strategies to maximize accessibility, visibility, and long-term preservation of digital content.

The event will be conducted online via Zoom.
