Dorothy C. Ogdon, Head of Emerging Technology and System Development at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Libraries will provide an overview of the purpose of training sets for machine learning models. Attendees will use Google's Teachable Machine tool to train a machine learning model to recognize people, objects, or sounds.
Attendees will understand the ways the models trained in the workshop succeed at recognizing examples from the training set and the ways the models produce unanticipated results will also be discussed.
