As an initiative under Qatar National Library, Qatar Reads fosters a love for reading across Qatar. Presented by Qatar Reads, this exhibition celebrates the novel Men in the Sun by Palestinian writer Ghassan Kanafani. Each year, its 'One Book, One Doha' campaign selects a significant Arabic literary work for a community-wide focus. 

The Men in the Sun exhibition at Qatar National Library delves into a central theme of the novel—the refugee experience—juxtaposing the fictional journeys of Abu Qais, Asaad, and Marwan with the real experiences of Gazan evacuees currently residing in Qatar. Through key themes such as nationhood, loss of land, interrupted education, solidarity, fragmented families, and Palestinian displacement, the exhibition offers profound insights into the enduring impact of these issues.
