Qatar National Library, as the IFLA MENA Regional Office, invites you to their event, Librarians for Libraries, which aims to develop librarianship skills in the MENA region through virtual programs covering a variety of topics.

In this session, we will discover how to equip librarians with the skills to identify, analyze, and combat fake news. In an era of widespread misinformation, librarians play a critical role as information gatekeepers and educators. Participants will learn how to detect fake news, evaluate information sources and help patrons develop critical thinking and media literacy skills.

The event will be conducted online via Zoom.
