Qatar National Library, as the IFLA MENA Regional Office, invites you to "Librarians for Libraries", which aims to develop librarianship skills in the MENA region through virtual programs covering a variety of topics.
This workshop will focus on two main themes. The first theme addresses the changing knowledge needs of the community, helping participants learn how to identify these needs and understand the library services required. We will discuss effective methods for conducting data collection surveys to ensure services align with community expectations and demonstrate the impact of libraries on decision-makers.
The second theme will draw on the recently launched IFLA Trend Report 2024 to identify essential skills that future librarians must possess to thrive in evolving library environments.
The event will be conducted online via Zoom.
