Thank you for interest in participating in our One Book, One Minute challenge! If you are aged 13 years old or above, we're excited to see your creativity in summarizing the latest book you've read in a 1-minute video. 

To ensure the best chance of winning, please adhere to the following guidelines:

Video Content:

1. Create a concise summary of the latest book you've read in a 1-minute video.
2. Be creative and engaging in presenting your summary. You can use props, visual aids, or any other creative elements to enhance your video.
3. The book you choose to summarize can be fiction or non-fiction.
4. Ensure that your summary accurately represents the key aspects of the book, such as the plot, main characters, key messages and themes.
5. Based on your preference, the video can be in English or Arabic. 

You can create the video in either of the following options:

Option 1: Filming with Speaking

• The video should be filmed in high quality, preferably using a smartphone or a camera that records in high resolution.
• Ensure suitable lighting during filming to make your video visually appealing and easy to watch.
• Use appropriate instrumental music. Ensure the background music you use is without vocals to maintain the focus on the spoken content.

Option 2: Animated video with text.

·         You can create an animated video with text using any animation software program of your choice to summarize the book.

·         Use relevant elements to describe the book you have read.

·         Ensure the text is large, easy to read and there is enough time for the user to read it.

·         Voiceover in this format is optional.

·         Use appropriate instrumental music.

Dimensions:

• The video must be in Instagram reels dimension, with a resolution of 1920 pixels x 1080 pixels.
• Ensure that the video is filmed or created vertically to fit the dimensions properly.

Video Length:

Your video must not exceed 60 seconds in duration. It should be a concise and engaging summary of the book.

Submission:

• Upload your video on Instagram, tagging @qatarnationallibrary and using the hashtag #QNLReadingChallenge.
• Ensure your account is set to public during the submission period.

Judging and Winner Selection:

• Videos will be judged based on creativity, clarity, and the ability to effectively summarize the book.
• The winner will be selected by a panel of judges based on the quality and creativity of the video.
• The winner will receive an iPad.
• The winning video will be featured on our social media channels, providing exposure to your creative work.

Deadline:

• The submission deadline for the video is 13 September 2023.
• Late submissions will not be accepted, so make sure to submit your video before the deadline.

Please note that by submitting your video, you grant us permission to use and feature your video on our social media channels and other promotional materials.
