Rachel Carson was one of the most noted environmentalists of the 20th century. Her book, Silent Spring, started the modern environmental revolution in the United States and elsewhere. Her work influenced a new generation of environmentalists, biologists, and thinkers across the world.
On the 117th anniversary of her birth, we will pay tribute to her work by inviting her biographer - Linda Lear - to share Rachel's impact. Along with Linda, Dr. Sayeed Mohammed will talk about how her work influenced his world views and the global impact it has had.
