Qatar National Library, as the IFLA MENA Regional Office, invites you to "Librarians for Libraries", which aims to develop librarianship skills in the MENA region through virtual programs covering a variety of topics.
This presentation highlights the unique value of graphic novels as an essential tool for promoting literacy and reader engagement in libraries. Aimed at librarians, it explores how graphic novels can attract a diverse range of readers, from reluctant teenagers to avid book lovers.
We’ll discuss their role in developing visual literacy, enhancing comprehension skills, and serving as a bridge to more traditional texts.
Participants will gain insights into how graphic novels can be effectively integrated into library collections and programming to foster a more inclusive, engaging reading environment for all users.
