Qatar National Library is hosting the Our Children Matter forum, "Reading Challenges – Insights and Strategies to Effectively Support Language Development".
In this forum, Dr. Mustafa Abu Saad, a psychology and education consultant, author, and supervisor of educational, family, and mental health counselors, will share his insights. He will be joined by Dr. Hadeel Yassin Al-Fars, a developmental pediatric consultant from Kuwait and author of numerous children’s stories and educational books. The session will be moderated by Ms. Dalaal Al-Mulla.
Additionally, Dr. Khalid Al-Naama, Director of Family Research and Policies at the Doha International Family Institute, will speak at the forum. Dr. Al-Naama holds advanced degrees in applied psychology from the University of Liverpool and a PhD in psychology from the University of Huddersfield, UK.
The speakers will address the challenges impacting our children’s future, not only in education and reading, but also in their personal, social, and family lives. They will explore how to tackle these challenges, the importance of reading for children, strategies to foster a love of reading, and support for overcoming reading difficulties. The event will conclude with a Q&A session.
Participants will receive a certificate of attendance by the end of the forum.
