Using examples from the past month, this lecture explores the ways in which Israel is using disinformation and propaganda on social media to dehumanise Palestinians to try to legitimise murder. It also examines the way in which Western media has contributed to this marginalisation of Palestinian suffering. 

Speaker: Dr. Marc Owen Jones, an associate professor of Middle East Studies at Hamad bin Khalifa University, where he lectures and researches on political repression and informational control strategies.
