Qatar National Library, as the IFLA MENA Regional Office, invites you to the "Librarians for Libraries" program, which aims to develop librarianship skills in the MENA region through virtual sessions covering a variety of topics.
This session, "Utilizing Public Libraries to Offer Children's Activities," explores how libraries can go beyond book lending by offering creative and interactive workshops for children of all ages. It highlights the importance of transforming libraries into vibrant spaces that inspire reading, imagination and critical thinking.
Participants will learn how to design and implement successful children’s activities - such as storytelling, arts and crafts, science experiments and life skills - through practical steps and real-life examples that foster stronger bonds between children and the library.
The event will be conducted online via Zoom.
